Developing design with an added functional value, that’s the aspiration of Ewalt Kommer and Jeroen Kors, both born in 1969. Technical aesthetics is not what they would like to call it, emotional experience is closer to the mark. Before they started their design studio at Schoonhoven, they gained experience in Hamburg (Germany) and Leiden first. They met during their student years in The Hague. Their designs vary from a pen to a sofa, and from a soap dispenser up to and including a trade-fair stand. In 2003 they were rewarded with the Dutch Design Award.
